Energy Saving Tools
The State
Procurement Office requires agencies to purchase
Energy
Star computers and equipment,
but as many as eighty percent of computers have disabled the energy
efficiency tools. In addition, a large portion of computer users leave
their computers on overnight. These behaviors cost the State significant
dollars and produce unnecessary carbon emissions.
