GITA Goes Green

Web Conferencing

As part of Governor Napolitano’s Efficiency Review Initiative, the State has developed a robust web conferencing program to reduce travel costs and environmental impact. Instead of driving to meetings across town or across the State, Agencies can utilize Web conferencing to hold meetings in a virtual environment.

In the first quarter of 2008, fourteen State agencies reduced CO2 emissions by 294,182 pounds and saved $690,349 in transportation costs and employee travel time.
