Draft 2011 AZ Statewide Communications Interoperability Plan (SCIP)
Second Public Review
The Public Safety Interoperable Communications Office (PSIC) is seeking feedback regarding Arizona's Approval Draft 2011 Statewide Communications Interoperability Plan (SCIP) to address changes in project priorities, to incorporate new technologies and to recognize the progress which has been made in advancing interoperability statewide. The draft SCIP will be reviewed and possibly approved at the April 19, 2011 PSCC Meeting which is open to the public.
This is the second of two public review periods. We realize the SCIP is large and we do appreciate any comments/feedback you have either on the sections that pertain to your area of expertise or the entire document. In particular, we ask that you closely review Section 5 which lays out Arizona's strategy, both short-term and long-term, for improving interoperable communications.
The Arizona SCIP serves as a reference for public safety officials by describing the status of interoperable communications throughout the state and by documenting specific goals and objectives to improve public safety communications. All homeland security grant applications related to communications must be aligned with the SCIP.
