identity theft is sub-divided into four categories:
• Financial Identity Theft (using another’s identity to obtain
goods and services)
• Criminal Identity Theft (posing as another when apprehended for
a crime)
• Identity Cloning (using another’s information to assume his or
her identity in daily life)
• Business/Commercial Identity Theft (using another’s business
name to obtain credit)

authorized online source for you to get a free credit report under
federal law. You can get a free report from each of the three national
credit reporting companies every 12 months. Some other sites claim to
offer "free" credit reports, but may charge you for another product if
you accept a "free" report.
