8-23-05: GITA Sponsored Successful Quality Assurance
Symposium
At a well attended event on August 23th,
more than 100 business and IT professionals from state and local
government convened to learn more about best practices in quality
assurance (QA). QA leaders from the academic, public and private sector
presented thought-provoking material designed to improve the manner in
which agencies manage their projects.
Presenters such as Arizona State University
(Center for Advancement of Business though Information Technology – CABIT), Gartner Consulting, Intel, Arizona Department of Transportation
and the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System discussed various
approaches to practical application of QA principles. A roundtable
working lunch provided a forum to exchange ideas and offered attendees
the opportunity to share experiences and lessons learned.
Based on positive responses from a survey
taken of QA Symposium attendees, GITA plans to sponsor future events
that are applicable to government agencies. |
