NASCIO Comes to Tucson

The National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO) will hold its annual conference in Tucson, Arizona, October 1-3.Cummiskey Delivers Opening Remarks

The National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO) held its annual conference in Tucson, Arizona, October 1-3.

Arizona State CIO Chris Cummiskey delivered opening welcome on the Monday, October 1st.

Cummiskey’s remarks focused on Governor Napolitano’s vision for transforming Arizona government through the use of technology. Specifically, he referenced Arizona 2-1-1, the Statewide Information Security and Privacy Office, Arizona Health-e Connection, Rural Broadband Development, and the State’s new Project Management Certification program.

Cummiskey also moderated a panel on data security on Tuesday, October 2nd.

The theme for this year’s conference was Building on the Past, Managing the Present, Stepping into the Future.
