Hunting and Fishing Licenses Are Available Online

PHOENIX – In support of increasing customer efficiency and the great sports of the outdoors, hunting and fishing licenses are now available online through the Arizona Game and Fish website. (www.azgfd.gov) This easily accessible website guides would-be hunters and fishers through simple steps to pay quickly and print speedily their licenses and permits. So both citizens looking to take day trips and tourists who visit the state have a chance to plan trips and quickly visit some of the great destinations Arizona has to offer.

Making this idea into an effective tool, was the joint effort of both the Arizona Game and Fish Department, as well as the Government Information Technology Agency (GITA). These two state agencies partnered to make this a reality and service the public more effectively. GITA Director and State CIO, Chad Kirkpatrick was especially pleased at the increased potential of the program, “Moving to a system of online licensing, not just for Arizona Game and Fish, but for any agency that can reach out to its customers better through the use of our websites, makes the lives of Arizonans easier.” Even the Governor plans on taking advantage of this offering.

As an ardent fan of sporting activities, Governor Jan Brewer has been one who is committed to making family outings in Arizona more enjoyable and accessible to everyone. She noted that, “it is vitally important that we streamline the process so hunting and fishing opportunities are made more efficient, convenient, and satisfying.”
