State of Arizona releases the Statewide IT Plan for FY2011

PHOENIX – Chad Kirkpatrick, Arizona’s state Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Director of the Government Information Technology Administration (GITA), today released the FY2011 Statewide Strategic Information Technology Plan.

“This plan sets forth the direction of the state’s IT with five major goals, foremost of which is efficiency and cost savings,” said Director Chad Kirkpatrick.  “Maximizing the use of the state’s IT resources should be seen as part of the solution in meeting Arizona’s budget challenges.”

This report contains information on the five major IT goals for the state in FY2011, plus a review of last year’s successes in IT.  This plan has been made available to the public and can be viewed on GITA’s website at http://www.azgita.gov/planning/.

Arizona’s FY 2011 Statewide Strategic Information Technology Plan serves as the foundational document in guiding and improving Arizona’s IT. This plan was developed through collaboration with the CIOs and IT experts from the state of Arizona’s agencies, boards, and commissions.
